You need the G60 type front engine mounting bracket, p/n 357 199 273 (just the top bracket that bolts onto the motor & not the hydraulic/rubber mount itself as they are compatable)
Rallye or Passat Syncro Rear engine mounting bracket p/n 357 199 354F
(as the rubber boot on the 100mm driveshaft joint rubs and lasts about 5 miles)
02C Transfer box carrier bracket p/n 02C 409 905
02C Transfer box support bracket p/n 02C 409 907
Rallye or Corrado 2WD right hand front drive shaft p/n 191 407 271K
or any left or right hand front G60 hollow shaft cut to the correct length. (Passat 2wd etc)

Thanks for that, Chris! I have missed that topic. Just a quick one: front engine mounting bracket, p/n 357 199 273 will tha fit to country? I guess that it is kinda short, correct me if I’m wrong…
Good Question! I don’t know, you may have to make a bridge piece.
well… now think to go back to 020 (.
What I need now is to move the engine/gearbox 1cm onwards. That will give that bolt a clearance not to touch the steerinng rack.
If you fit the the 02C engine mountings it will all work.
Let me have a look in ETKA later.
have checked with etka front engine mounting bracket, p/n 357 199 273.
It appears that it was used in 2wd passats. There were only two brackets used that time:
357 199 273 and 357 199 273A (automatic transmissions)…
I think 1 of these will help, it fits between p/n 357 199 354F the console & the rear engine mounting.
thanks for the response, Chris.
Is it something that fits above the rubber support? or I am not getting…
It fits between parts 19 ‘console’ & 23 ‘the rubber support’ & will raise that side of the engine by nearly 2 cms
Here are some more photos to try & show it better
Well, I assume this is hard to get…
One of the options to try then is to get the identical console and cut the section of it with the holes and put it in between…
e-mail me please, btw the console in the picture is a Rallye/Passat G60 Syncro one.
just wondering if I lift the right side should the gearbox side be lfted as well?
Good question, I dont know!
