Hi,have a question.
I am going to fit a 1.8T AGU engine into my MK2 syncro.
Gearbox is a 02C gearbox from Passat GT G60 syncro.
Im was starting to fit the gearbox to the agu engine when i discovered that the oil return and transmission carrier came in conflict with the angeled drive.
Oil return i think is solved with partn. 06A145735S(or AD at the end) from TT quattro.
So now on to the question.
Transmission carrier from Passat partn:02C409905 would not fit into the 1.8t engine block.
I have sourced for a direct fit carrier, and have found one partn: 02C409905D.
This partn. are found on 1998+ cars with Haldex and 02C gearbox, but im unsure if the engine used in this combination is the 1.8T or if it only a diesel engine or some kind of NA 2.0L engines where the block is different from the 1.8T engine.
Anybody tried this combination and can confirm that this 02C409905D carrier would fit into the 1.8T engine block?
Price for this here in Norway is about 100£, with no returns accepted.
Really dont want to buy just for trying it out.
If im unsure however it will fit or not i can make a custom one, but doing so is time consuming, it would really be nice to have a direct fit.
If the bracket is from the skoda octavia elegance 4×4 then yes it will fit the 1.8t block can’t be sure it’s definitely going to fit your transfer box though
Yes its the same bracket as the 4wd Skoda Octavia from 1997 to 2011.
Hi thanx for reply, I have made an order for 02C409905D to see if it will fit this engine gearbox combo.
Received the bracket and it fits the 02C 1.8T combo very nice.
