ok so its probably a wheel sensor then, swap the pump over to your golf & it should work properly
don’t think its THAT easy
because it was the same **** on my golf too
Not to worry, cos I have the Golf 2 ABS workshop manual. [
]
you got it on PDF?
Yes, I can email it to you, or make a skype file transfer [
]
thanks
got the mail
i don’t use skype
msn is my choise
damn that passat is pretty hard to part out
wires and **** EVERYWHERE!!! i’ll be glad when i’m finished parting it
been doing some more thinking..
if i replace the subframe on the golf with the one from the passat, which has i wider track, wouldnt that affect my camber? 2.5cm pr side is alot
Yes but it will need retracking anyway, and normally they do a complete wheel alignment which includes camber,
btw the G60 Golf 2 wings are about 2cms wider than the std Golf ones
i was thinking more about that the width will be too much to set the right camber
No it wont as you are still well within adjustment limits! [

okai
thats great :p
took the abs pump out today, havn’t had the chance to compare the two abs units yet, as the golf is parked outside, and i’m too lazy :p
i’ve cleaned the unit well, so it looks like new :p
i’m just full of questions, and here’s another one :p
the fuel vapor “rebreather” thingy, is this neccesary? and ifnot, how can it be deleted? just plug all the vacuum outlets on the inlet manifold and on the throttlebody? and remove everything and disconnect/cut the wires to the magnetic valve that controls the fuelvapor?
sucks to be me.. the passat is equipped with electronic dif lock..
so, i have to source a new abs harness and abs ecu
got a few pics, will upload them as soon as i can find my password for the domain
lol
heres some photos. first out, the passat abs unit, partially cleaned. (not finished cleaning it up
