Nothing to do with me at all, just spotted it on pistonheads ….
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/340364.htm
I have too many cars atm, but I’m tempted ….
oh and in northampton too – oh for more drivespace/money/time….
think that’d be a good buy possibly for someone!
would have bought that if not just bought one to convert defo cheeper than doing it myself
I really can’t justify another car (I have 4 atm) so is anyone interested in one of the 115 Jetta syncros that came over here
What the hell will he have done with the exhaust? Would be my key question, especially after Mr P’s endeavours.
And he is still running a 020 gearbox, I would be budgeting for its short term replacement with a 2.0 16v motor (150 BHP) driving through it
And the man who bought it has popped up already:

Ahh it’s a bodge manifold by the sounds of it then, I found a company that will will make me what I want, the price is special but its the only way me thinks.
Depending on how the work has been carried out the whole thing may be a bodge job, it depends on what block was used for the conversion, if its a KR or PL block then it is missing out on the top transfer box lug, if its the 2.0l 16v block then it should have it,.
It is running the 020 gearbox as you can see in this photo (to follow)
ive seen a hooky mk2 16v conversion for sale before. Is this it?
Hopefully not!
