I forgot a question : have we to change the wheel hub ?
The wheel hub is the same for both drum & Disc, you will have to be creative with the drum brake cables
see here

Thanks for the information for the hub.
I Am a new member and I have not the acces on the old forum, I cant see Anything on your last links. 🙁
Is it good for caliper and bracket for golf 3 vr6 syncro
(I have find one pair neer from my house)
You said : Please Note, This information only relates to the Golf 2 Syncro as the 1.8 Golf 3 Syncro does not have the caliper carrier mounting lugs, only the Golf 3 VR6 has them.
Can I take golf 3 vr6 syncro wishbone ?(1h0505347 these of my golf 2 is not in a good health)
And only change the hub from my golf 2?
If you want to use the Golf 3 VR6 wishbone you will need the golf 3 VR6 mounting brackets as the side bearings are a different size to the golf 2, the golf 3 VR6 mounting brackets do bolt up to the body shell without any modifications though.
Hello Chris,
What can I do to see this link?
It is for the adaptation for the brake cable.

it’s now here: https://forum.vwsyncro.co.uk/forums/topic/brake-upgrades/
all the topics from the old forum should be on the new forum too so you can try using the search on here for the title e.g. “brake upgrades”, which is how I found it.
My website | My Youtube channel (both mostly bike related)
Thanks LD50,sorry I have not check the search fonction.
Do you know anything in regards to doing this on a Golf Syncro TDI?
You will need to check if the hubs have the lugs to mount the caliper carriers
