July at Castle Combe – VAG Action Day

Had a really good day there. Took Hellette No. 1 out on the lunchtime parade with me and Hellette No.2 went out with Mrs Hell – at 6 days old I guess she was possibly the youngest child out there [8D]

I borrowed a camera mount from a mate and thus here’s a couple of crap laps from inside my car:

I think there’s an R8 coming past on one of the laps. At 1:36ish per lap the times were no better than in the damp previous session, which really suggests I need to get more power down to the wheels.

It was VERY hot and dry, which meant the 4WD didn’t really come into it’s own, although I did manage to push an over-lowered Golf3 GTI so hard he almost span off at Quarry – he just didn’t want to let the high-riding shed behind him past.
