yes the “Panda Levin” was a black-and-white variant of a Toyota AE86 which featured heavily in the “initial D” graphic novel and is part of drifting lore. I realise it’s quite a different car from the Jetta but I just liked how it reminded me of the Panda 🙂

Hello, came back up here to say hi after so many years…

I have had an 89 Golf syncro since 2003-ish, kept it in sort of hibernation until 2006 when I finally had the car back on the road.
Then joined this syncro forum shortly after to look for information that was rarely available where I live, Japan.
Kept driving until 2015.

I actually still have the syncro, again in hibernation for about past 10yrs, and now I am starting to get it back on the road once again.
Before I actually start moving toward the work the car needs to go through, just wanted to say to all the Gulus on here.

So hi! Hope to be able to come back again soon!

heyy!! welcome back! that’s great the syncro is still in the mix. I’d wondered what had become of it. It’s looking a lot tidier than mine, but maybe lives in a nicer environment.
