Hello, came back up here to say hi after so many years…
I have had an 89 Golf syncro since 2003-ish, kept it in sort of hibernation until 2006 when I finally had the car back on the road.
Then joined this syncro forum shortly after to look for information that was rarely available where I live, Japan.
Kept driving until 2015.
I actually still have the syncro, again in hibernation for about past 10yrs, and now I am starting to get it back on the road once again.
Before I actually start moving toward the work the car needs to go through, just wanted to say to all the Gulus on here.

Iโm James in Norwich. Just got myself a 1989 Syncro with GU engine. Itโs been stored for nearly 10 years due to wheel well rot in the rear. Overall itโs in pretty good shape – engine recommissioned already and prepping for welding. Basic brake service and fluids then off for an MOT to see where we are ๐ฌ
