hi i am selling my syncro due to my round the world trip so i need all the money i can get which means the car has to go.
it is a 1989 mk2 syncro 5dr with 102k miles on the clock it is light blue and is fitted with a full g60 arch kit and big bumpers and alloy wheels. The car bodywork is in good condition with a few minor dents from incosiderate tesco customers a few rust rust patches the main one being on the top of the sill panel however i have hamerited that spot and that was a year ago and the rust has not crept since. it has a full stainless exhaust which i would get rid of personally cos it doesn’t suit my style of golf but it did the previous owner.
there are a few problems
-there is a noise coming from the n/s/r of the car it could be the rear diff but i have been driving it like it for a year now and there seems to be no interference just a knock, however it could be the cv joint on that side who knows?
– the carb needs adjusting as it idles poorly when cold but once hot runs fine but rich.
-as isaid there is a rust patchon the sill
-a foot crease dent in the passenger front door
-the car has powersteering but of late it has occasionally( once a week) jarred or stopped working the car still turns just manually without aid and it is literally for a second.
-the car has central locking but the drivers actuator has broken so it’s not operative it does work however as i tested it with a friends actuator from his golf and all the other doors and boot etc are working fine. i believe the £20 new.

iam looking for about £900ono for the car which i think is fair.
