Thanks for the pics.
Chris you are a god amonst us mere mortals on this forum![]
I have been shafted by GSF, they sold me the wrong CV joints and they still have them advertised as rear inner CV joints for ABS models.
I will attempt to get my money back and either some new rotors or compensation, as their CV joints have mashed my rotors!
My GSF CV joints are completely different, can’t believe how many times I have been sold wrong parts during this conversion!
Think I owe you more than a few beers now![] LOL

But lets recap on this for a minute,
1) Your car originally had ABS and you removed the original rings (not the first replacement ones)
2) When you fitted the new rings, did you change anything else? like hubs, CV joints, swing arms ABS senders etc,
do you have photos please?
I am fitting syncro running gear (ABS version) to my corrado (later model, so I need to get the ABS working for the MOT).
The driveshafts I have were off a non ABS syncro, I ordered some new CV joints (for cars with ABS) from GSF , theye were identical to my existing non syncro CV joints. So I have just re-used the old CV joints.
I purchashed new ABS rings, I also had the swingarms powder coated, I removed all the powder coating from the CV joint/ABS rotor goes.
The onlt hing I can think off is that GSF have sold me the wrong CV joints. I will take some pics of the joints (syncro ones and my GSF ABS ones) tonighte.
Really annoying as I have now trashed several rotors at neary £12 a pop.
If anyone has any picture of what a rear cv with ABS rotor should look like this would be much appreciated.
Thanks
blue95ParticipantMeasured the diamter of the PFlex rear ARB bushes with my trusty digital calipers, they are 18mm (same as OEM syncro bushes)
Got on to PFlex this morning, they checked their stock and confirmed the diameter was also 18mm. They were slightly baflled as they themselves state it should be 20mm (same as OEM rallye bushes). Also that the extra 2mm would make the bush excessively tight on the Rallye ARB.

Rear Anti Roll Bar Outer Mount
(2 per car) 20mmI said I would ask arround the forums to see if anyone had encountered probs fitting them to their Rallye.
On the plus side for Syncro owners, it appears the PFlex arb bushes for the Rallye will fit the standard syncro 18.5mm ARB.
Any comments appreciated.
blue95ParticipantYes bushes are just one material all the way through, time for some drill action then.
Cheers.
blue95Participant[]Opps forget to mention….yes its the rear ARB. I can also confirm they are only arround £45 from UK dealers as well.
With those ARB measurements it seems I will need to increase the diameter of the hole in the bushes by a further 1.5mm.
Or this a job for a drill bit?
blue95ParticipantI must be to heavy handed.
I tried greasing that didn’t work, so thats why I tried heat.
Might just bond them on, as the over £12 each []
Thanks
blue95ParticipantIts for a 89 golf syncro.
I ordered new ABS cv joints, turns out my syncro had ABS CVs fitted already though?!
I heated the ring and tapped it on, went on nice and smooth, the bugger spins round though. Wondered if you have to compress it once its on, or if it is just simply suppose to push on.
How did you fit yours Chris.
I believe P/N 1H0 501 639 is for cars with stub axles only. I had to buy them as well, useless though.
blue95ParticipantThanks again.
This place is a mine of information.
I will post some pics soon, in the meantime I have a thread on the Corrado forum if anyones intrested:

blue95ParticipantThanks for your replys.
Don’t suppose there is a part number for the olives?
blue95ParticipantHi Chris,
I have 2.0 16v, I belive its running K-Jetronic.
At the moment there are 2 pipes from the main pump (fuel return and fuel feed). Each are connected to the main pup via flexible hose that is clamped on to a rigid line, this rigid line then makes its way across to the lift pump, where it is then clamped via flexible hose.
The problem I have are the rigid lines, basically they now need to go across and up, so the corrado ones are too short. Even if they were long enought the lines are very rigid and seem to have been preformed to match the shapoe of the floor.
It is probably easy to run flexible lines, but I was a bit concenred as I know the 16v have very high pressure fuel systems due to the mechanical fuel injection.
Hope this clarifys my question a bit more.
blue95ParticipantFYI:
Just went to ECP to get the rear bearings as VW Spares were out of stock…turns out the rear bearings ECP do are FAG branded. As I understand this is what VW use as well as SKF.
Needless to say I purchased 2 at the bargan price of £56 all in.
blue95ParticipantThanks for your reply.
vwspares do one for 21.90(made by Febi Bilstein), think VW wanted £39 for the 72mm and double for the 68mm.
blue95ParticipantDoes anyone know the part number for the 68mm bearing from GSF and the like???
Called VW and got a nasty shock.
blue95ParticipantAs usual – cheers Chris []
blue95ParticipantHi Mate,
How much for just the rear ARB?
