Longlife exhausts do a 4 to 1 Branch manifold for the syncro. £250 fitted, and a custom stainless pipe for around £400.
Probably my next route of upgrade seeing as after I fitted a VAG syncro back box the car no longer idles when it is cold. (Seems blocked almost)

ModeratorHurrah for Weber DCNF carbs, have you had yours set up yet? I will be running a very similar 2.0L setup so if you can email me the jet etc details it will save me a lot of(expensive)and duplicate work before the final fine tuning on a rolling road. chris
Due to unforseen circumstances (my car caught fire) my never fitted Weber DCNF Carbs are now for sale.Chris S
ModeratorIt varies depending on which motor you have, the GU and GX both supposedly have 90bhp
the Syncro GT has the 1P motor with 98bhp, while the G60 has 160 bhp.
The VW performance figures are as follows
GU (carb) 178 kph = 111.25 mph, 0 to 100kph (62mph) in 11.3 seconds
GX (K-jet) 175 kph = 109.375 mph, 0 to 100kph (62mph) in 12 seconds
1P (digi2) 180 kph = 112.5 mph, 0 to 100kph (62mph) in 11.1 seconds
PG ( G60) 213 kph = 133.125 mph, 0 to 100kph (62mph) in 8,3 secondsChris S

Chris S
ModeratorIan Kelly the Techical Director at Durafix UK (Easyweld) has graciously offered to send a sample starter kit for testing to both LD50 and myself, we will of course report our findings back to you as well as to Durafix, so thats a big thank you to Mr Kelly then [
