It will not release the diff lock until you select 2nd or 3rd gear, it is not supposed to, it keeps the diff locked in 1st so you have more chance of rocking a stuck car out when it is sitting in deep ruts

BTW these headers will not bolt up to the std 90 bhp syncro exhaust without an adapter plate

If you can buy one for only €60.35 then buy it quick before someone else does.
I have had loads of these through my hands over the years both used & new & have never been able to see any difference between the two ‘sides’
yes the search term I use on eBay.de is BREMSSATTELHALTER SYNCRO

You will need a flexible brake pipe adapter to run the Golf 4 calipers but its not difficult. everything else will bolt right up.
You will haveto ask lloydy what he did.
