Do you think these Skoda units are more fragile than the others, Nutter? Seems like you’ve busted a few!
gruppe_aMemberAlmost had one here… sold last week!!!
gruppe_aMemberAhhh, ok… cool. Maybe I shouldn’t give up so easily! Anyone know a source for the Seat angle drive? That’s a 17:27 ratio, right?
Any other pitfalls I’m not considering?
Thanks Les, that’s good news!
gruppe_aMemberWell, I was really looking at it more as a traction upgrade! But I think what with the ratio differences and the T4/Sharan angle drives looking so different from the 02C units, I’ll just stick with the Peloquin I’ve already got… thanks for the help!
gruppe_aMemberVagcat shows a VC, can’t discern a locking rear diff though.
What they look like:
gruppe_aMemberI guess what I’m getting at, is this even remotely possible to graft into Mk2 syncro? Assuming a matching angle drive could be fitted to an 02C trans and the diff itself could be fitted to the rear subframe, would it be a plausible route to a truly locking rear diff in a Mk2 syncro..? []
gruppe_aMemberAnd, I guess I’m curious what rear diffs with a code of CJM or CJL are off of..?
gruppe_aMemberHey, that’s a good idea, I’ll give that a shot! Thanks!
gruppe_aMemberBump… anyone done this before? []
gruppe_aMemberDefinitely different, but I won’t try to explain the technical nuances.
gruppe_aMemberWell, I intend to protest by giving out the most absolute rubbish info on here as possible. Fill up your viscous couplings with brake fluid… it works!
gruppe_aMemberReally? I guess I’m not on here often enough to detect any strife. And when I went to log back in awhile back, all my user info was gone… had to re-register, and now I’m downgraded to “newbie” status. Hmmm, guess my donation didn’t go very far…
gruppe_aMemberWow… where’s Chris? Is the guy alright?
gruppe_aMemberThose are incredibly hideous. I’d love to see one converted back to cabriolet specs though!
