yes, but it also has these thick mats with butyl on one side and old clothing on the other .
the clothing crap covers the floors, the prop-shaft tunell and bulkhead.
havn’t found anything that is useable
HouseyParticipanti’m still after this.
only i can find is from H&R, but they are Export springs and does not have TÜV
HouseyParticipantseeing that you are going with the rod change option, you cannot use any G60 (02A/02C) clutch components at all.
get a decent “high performance” 8v clutch and use that.. as chris says, the 16v clutch cannot be used as the splines are different.
HouseyParticipantwell. engine still stands in the enginestand.. i’ve lost my job, hopefully i can manange keeping the engine, but all has to do with my future economics..
ohwell. i’ve still got some money. and was thinking of buying some cheap ass shockabsorbers (mine has started to leak and whatnot)
found these:
http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190867184394&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:DE:1123
but the seller gave me this:
“ich versende leider nicht nach norwegen”
i’m glad norway is not in the EU..but this is ridiculous
HouseyParticipantHouseyParticipantweeeellll..
i did figure this one out…
but i don’t know if i want to tell you what it was..
oh well.. scew it. it was my own fault. a few years ago i relubricated the glidingpins on the caliper carriers..
well. that grease had tried out, and everything was rusted stuck. so the only braking that happend back there was the pison pushing only one pad onto the disc. and that does not work too well
got this sorted today.. got the pins out. cleaned them up and reassembled with new pads and using siliconegrease this time (the good stuff)
probably won’t last forever since both the pins and the carriers are rusted. but should work a few years
HouseyParticipantwish i could, but i just lost my job. so don’t have any money
HouseyParticipantwhat is the main differences between these?
because i run out of fuel when the gauge says i’m on reserve and when i got a full tank of gas, the needle is so high i cannot see it
HouseyParticipantrear is the same. so no point on actually “upgrade” that one if going 02c
how ever, installing LSD front and rear should make it a blast to drive in the snow
HouseyParticipantisn’t the passat G60 front/rear sections the same?
HouseyParticipantwhats so special about the rallye prop versus the non-rallye ones?
HouseyParticipanti’ve got absolutley no idea on when its going to be finished there is a lot that has to be done first.
the engine itself is more or less finished, that only need an oilfilter and oil to start. but there are many parts that i need to source first
but i’ll get there, eventually. i’m having some problems sourcing software for the Digifant ECU these days ;(
HouseyParticipanti don’t think thats the way to go. i believe that teh Bentley describes how to do it correctly, i know i have to get one or 2 highpressure gauges and put them on the rear calipers.
then measure the pressure when the brakes are depressed. and adjusting accordinglycould possibly be the problem, or could be something else. i’ll see sometimes in january, right now i’ve got the flu, so i’m not doing too much
HouseyParticipantbut, i did start thinking about something..
when i lowered my car, i had the dealership readjust the proportion valve. i had to have them do it to have it approved.
since then i’ve raised the car back to stock height, but i havn’t done anything abut that valve..
so i should probably get myself some high pressure gauges and readjust (not paying the dealer, they have gone up in price on this, and now demand around 400€ for the job)
could be that the rears either don’t have enough pressure, or they lock up too fast
HouseyParticipant22mm G60
no refitting the abs here. parts are not obtainable, and its an old sucky system
