Ok, so I’ve got this heated screen on order, was this a factory fitted option? If so, does anyone have a wiring diagram and a list of parts. And assuming it is a factory fitted option, does anyone have a loom, relays and switch for it?
I have a suspicion that I’ll have to cobble something up myself.
And I’ll take a picture of it for you Housey.

Hungry_Horse_1955MemberI have a S/S 2″ system on my Country fitted by Powerflex Exhausts. They will fit what ever you want (from the manifold back). I have a picture of it somewhere, but can’t find it at the moment!
Hungry_Horse_1955MemberYou could well be right Danny, but the set up for track and road are usually different, if I can remember my CCC magazine days! When you have lifted a front wheel is not the majority of the weight on the rear, thus you want more traction there, as there is less slip????
By the way I have never been on a track so could be speaking out of the proverbial!
Hungry_Horse_1955MemberIf this is so, why did VW fit the electronic traction control? And why did it monitor both front wheels seperatly and the rear wheels as a single unit?
Personally I would think you would get more advantage from fitting it to the rear!
Hungry_Horse_1955MemberYou mention putting the ABS unit under the seat. I thought they were mounted in the boot on the back panel! Or is that the 2WD versions?
Hungry_Horse_1955MemberNo problems what so ever. Been to work every day this week, in Leatherhead, and it hasn’t put a foot wrong. Trouble is the rear brakes are just starting to get down to the metal so will have to go in for some new shoes! I’ll have to get the LSE out for next week!

Hungry_Horse_1955MemberAre you sure it includes the manifold? The price sounds right for a cat back system! I had a Power Flow 2″ system fitted from the manifold back on my Country, with the Cat removed and it cost around £350. You can get ‘Hi-Flow’ cats which only reduce the the power by 1 or 2 bhp, but they cost a few hundred quid. A decent manifold will also cost a couple of hundred quid in stainless steel (see g-werks website).
