ld50MemberFrom what I could tell, bevelling, cleaning and tinning the edges properly seemed to be key to getting it to stick properly. The bits I sledgehammer tested stuck really well where I’d done it carefully.
I reckon tin cans would be ideas to make small formers for “on the fly” mouldings []

The thing is I’m going to have to impact test it and it’s currently all nice and shiny and I don’t really want to break it.

ld50MemberI just got back off holiday – my kit arrived too just before I left and am keen to have a fiddle – I wonder if we can use this to sort the stripped threads on VCs but reckon it’s gotta be worth testing on something less costly to replace first in case I botch it.
I have a relatively fair but low-risk test in mind which would help with PG-16v conversions, namely the crank breather assy which doesn’t quite reach the (knock sensor?) hole in the PG block by about 5mm – being able to extend it would save having to weld fiddly little pipes together like I did for mine and would keep it looking a lot prettier. More as we have it
ld50MemberI think i’ve got a transfer box with a broken lug which would be an ideal candidate. I’m also wondering whether this could be used to help “redesign” inlet manifolds…I hope so!

They refer to “Exzentriziaet” which I’m guessing is the eccentric bit – hopefully the same dir as the arrow?
