large carbs require TPS to be used, MAP signal is to unstable and disapears at quite low throttel angel at the lower end of the rev range

car’s did ring trip. few track days and a lot of hard road miles. it’s currently sat outside looking abit sorry for itself but bits are acumalating for more adjustments.

it did manage to mangel a frount propshaft section tho that was down to a duff doughnut.
then i managed to blow the engine up so bought a cordoba and fitted the abf out of that with a lightend flywheel and another new clutch as there were issues with previous one.

got a trio in various conditions in the shed if your intrested.

one is intact but dosent quite produce the boost it should and weeps a bit of oil so it needs an overhaul. 2nd has apparently been mildly ported it boosts well dose everything it should dunno when it was serviced tho.

3rd one i have the invoice from vw for it when it was bought brand spanking new from vw not done 10,000 miles and was only on a car for 18 months removed due to badly rebuilt bottom end induceing engine conversion . pm me offer if your intrested

2wd boots fit syncro shafts as long as you pick the correct size ( 90 – 100 mm )

gear oil wise, redline mlt is kill or cure. it stops the crunch but if your oil seals are poor it gets out.

some box rebulders recomend atf but im unsure about that or just up the thickness a notch.

btw if you want the free box its about to get demoted to outside
