SlatefordParticipant
I know that Erwin Weber consumed 3 propshafts on his way to 3rd in the New Zealand rally in 1990 with 280 bhp so they were one of the weak links in the transmission then.
SlatefordParticipantMy syncro started to blow cold air as the engine warmed up. Was the same as my old Gti. The heater matrix bypass valve in the engine bay was old and faulty. Replaced it and hot air again. £25 for the kit from VW.
SlatefordParticipantAny luck with photos of the eccentric bushes as my plans for 2007 include replacing the worn rears, amongst other things.

August would be ideal if it’s confirmed early enough to book time off. Would we be going straight there or meeting at Chris’s and travelling on?
SlatefordParticipantMy name is Mark and I stay in Edinburgh, owning a pearl blue Rallye in standard spec. I’ve owned it for about 1 year and gradually fixed some of the problems that came with a 15 year old car. It’s needed a recon power steering rack and pump, clutch, and the G-lader was overhauled by L&S Cartec with a 1 year warranty. After a full service, the car runs great but it has shown up the suspension as being very worn. Don’t know whether to uprate the suspension or just renew with VAG springs and shocks. I’ve heard that owners had the choice of sport or comfort suspension when the car was built but don’t know if this is true.
